Lizzy, Thank you! I can't wait to read some of your recent poems this summer. It's funny how even when it feels like there is nothing to write...something comes. A.
We are starting to write poetry in our notebooks in class and just read this poem. Here is what we think:
J2: Maybe when you write poems you forget about them and then you read them again later and remember them. J3: I feel the same thing. I have 8 books at home full of my poems and I'm on my ninth book. I feel excited to write when I open my books. When I have peace and quiet I say to myself, come on, you can do this. A2: I think poetry books are cool.
Mr. R: We will be writing in our notebooks and blogs too and can't wait to share with you when you come to our class!!
I like this, Amy! Sometimes just opening the notebook gets the juices flowing...
