Remember Childhood in Poem #360

Students - when I was a child, I remember thinking, "I won't do that when I am a grownup.  I'll remember what it's like to be a girl."

Now I am a grownup, and sometimes I know that I do forget childhood.  But I am trying to hold onto it!  Having my own children and working with children helps with this.

What do you long to hold onto?  This might be a good idea to write about.

  3. Amy - I was never allowed to have any pets as a kid (except fish, but it's hard to love a fish, or have an adventure with a fish) and I remember promising myself that when I grew up, I would have a TON of pets - and I did, and then I found out how much work it was, so now we're down to a reasonable amount - just six cats. Thanks for reminding me of all this.

  4. Hi Amy,

I try to remember, but sometimes cringe when I ask one of those questions. Thanks for the friendly, reminder poem with a precious photo too. ~Theresa
