Students - this poem is a fable poem, or animal story with a moral. I have known people who care more about their clothing than necessary, and sometimes I have done this too. Today's poem poses a warning against such mixed-up priorities.
If you have a message or belief that you would like to convey, one way to do so is through a fable or fable poem. Simply change your people and situation to one that fits animals, and off you go!
