I loved the collection of poetry from the second graders, too--especially their ending thought that they can write poetry about anything--and so can we all.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08210045352610490115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343349006357324362.post-56417937484127369262017-06-17T16:14:23.757-04:002017-06-17T16:14:23.757-04:00Lovely poem Amy about growing, change and letting ...Lovely poem Amy about growing, change and letting go!michelle koganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16409095111952431780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343349006357324362.post-80613347081222083052017-06-17T09:10:15.233-04:002017-06-17T09:10:15.233-04:00Thank you for honoring us and our amphibious journ...Thank you for honoring us and our amphibious journey, Amy. My Kindergarten scientist-poets were thrilled beyond belief. It was fun for me to read the 2nd graders wonderful poetry and dream about the next stage of the writing journey my poets are about to begin. I think you'll like my Poetry Friday contribution, as it's about one of my favorite not-so-everyday birds! My granddaughter just finished 1st. grade. She loves writing poems. She will be staying with us this coming week, and she's already told me she wants us to write more poems together. I love that! I look forward to sharing your frog poem with her. Thanks, Amy!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01786457482835741494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343349006357324362.post-72590568763982080722017-06-16T17:08:11.980-04:002017-06-16T17:08:11.980-04:00I was so happy that my granddaughter and 2nd grade...I was so happy that my granddaughter and 2nd grader, Ingrid's teacher did lots of poetry with her this year, and it seems that this 2nd grade loved writing poetry too. Their work is magical, and Amy, to write a poem for them to help say goodbye to those frogs is terrific! What a journey they've had together, and a celebration with the book, too. So much good to share here!Linda Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14983144542632353870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343349006357324362.post-24660194221685436702017-06-16T16:37:47.438-04:002017-06-16T16:37:47.438-04:00I loved reading the 2nd grader's poems, especi...I loved reading the 2nd grader's poems, especially Jack's list poem about the weather and Libby's story poem about school. It seemed like the word jump actually jumped on the page. Thanks, Amy and Kristine for sharing this student work. Amy's poem about the tadpoles, now frogs reminds me of the year we had tadpoles that we watched grow into frogs in Houston. It was a neighborhood experience! So fun!Ramonahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15929914252480696798noreply@blogger.com
