They knew about the French presence, but they didn't understand that having French travelers/soldiers would raise all the unfortunate history of European colonization of Africa--just like you and the mouse invasion of bluebird houses--not quite adorable.<br /><br />"Walk, discover, write, repeat" is ALWAYS good advice for poets!
